Beef Tacos

Comment: A traditional Taco is a pleasure to have and there’s nothing preventing you from sitting down with your favorite beverage and enjoying a crispy, tasty oven-hot Taco. We find that 3 per person is the rule and this recipe is for one. Double for 2, triple for 3, etc.
Cooking time:
20-25 minutes including prep and heating of shells
Serves:
1

Ingredients:
3 Yellow Corn Taco Shells
¼ pound ground beef (or chicken)
2 tsp Taco seasoning (usually in the package of shells)
1 small tomato, diced
½ cup shredded lettuce (Iceberg works good)
½ cup shredded Cheddar Cheese or Mexican-blend Cheese
¼ Sour Cream
Preparation:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and have a cookie sheet ready.
  2. In a 10” fry pan brown the beef and strain when done. Return the beef to the pan and add ½- ¾ cup of water and stir in the Taco seasoning, cooking until most of the water has evaporated leaving a saucy-type filling.
  3. While the sauce is cooking prepare your other ingredients and place in separate small bowls.
  4. Just before the sauce is done and after you have prepared the other ingredients put your Taco shells on the cookie sheet and place in the oven for no more than 4 minutes. Remove and place on a plate and serve with the other recipe items.
